Tug of War

Too much resistance in this tug of war Pride & Ego causes distance Cuz we can’t settle the score You swore & I swore that we Wouldn’t do this no more But you can’t win & I can’t lose Too much to prove So that means there’s not enough to Gain When you’re young you got options Everybody watches but nobody says “Somebody stop them” Cuz there’s too much at stake That’s what we believe But now look what we missed A life of beautiful opportunities... What could’ve been is no more Time is lost in our Tug of War
