Tuesday Afternoon

End of discussion

All eleven of us are dismissed

"Be productive with these long 15 minutes"

"Write or... Have a sandwich"

Purposely slumped in this comfort-less seat

She stands peering over my shoulder

All I can recall last week and the lasting interaction

"Want to draw on the floor?"

"Oh wow, you're a tutor"

The class is nearly empty with two or three bodies left

Standing and moving ever so slowly to catch each step

"Postpartum depression is why she lost it"

"The wallpaper reflects her changing mindset"

I caught a few glimpses from her eye

It's been rare to go a day or more without a word

"The garden represented her freedom"

"The setting and symbols coagulate throughout the piece"

She stood as I stood and waited while I took my sweet time

Her back was turned as I bolted towards the door

"There's massive development through her point of view"

"She had just given birth and had her newborn cared for"

I wonder if she was in pursuit

I feel guilty having not spoken a word to her in these days past

"It's just one of those days"

"Dropping things and forgetting things you need to bring"

She probably thinks I'm avoiding her

What story could I conjure up?
