The Real You

Take a deep slow breath,

Just let yourself go

Far beyond what you've seen

And what you know.

Pay attention to the sounds

Of unfamiliar cries in the distance,

This now feels so near.

You feel THE SELF...yourself.

The voices you hear

Are your own.

The pain you feel

Is self inflicted.

Caused by your own guilt and lies.

The anxiety is very real.

It's like seeing yourself

Through another's eyes.

Frightening, yet needed and true,

For you cannot change

Before achknowledging the real you.
