THE LION IN ME IS ROARING

Adapted from my upcoming poetry book FLAMES OF THE WORLD

29. THE LION IN ME IS ROARING

The time bomb explodes,
I kept all under the carpet.
Behind the drawers to avoid shame,
But the house was in high temperatures,
They st the roof ablaze,
Everything is gushing out,
The blood oozing profusely,
The lion in me is roaring.

I have decided to let the cat out of the bag,
I don`t want poverty,
Promote industrial expansion rather than inertia,
I don`t want hunger,
Fill my silo with grain without fail,
I don`t want insolvancy.

In enerst come fill my head with wisdom,
I am empty handed and headed,
Have sympathy for my plight,
Don`t deny me education please!
So don`t close the schools,
Don`t shut the polytechnics and technikons,
Open the universities please!
The lion in me is roaring.

Don`t kill the innocent my brothers,
Negotiate in love and peace,
Stop fighting and intimidating,
I accept your rule but not,
With the shied and the sword.

Don`t kill the rebellion but,
Accept the existence of challenge.
Don`t thawt the uprisings but,
Wellcome open dialogue,
The lion in me is roaring.

I hate prostitution,
I am against homosexuality,
I envy strip shows.
I don`t like the act of abortion,
So drug and human trafficking,
I envy women who are dressing almost naked out,
I am totally against the fashion designer,
They must be dragged to court,
Pending an immediate halt to manufacture,
The lion in me is roaring.

I don`t support those who masquerade,
As office holders yet they are masters,
Of mass corruption and destruction,
I hate those who suppress the frreedom of expression,
I hate those who evade the rule of law,
And envy those who doesn`t want to yield,
Power as a gesture of defeat consideration.

I am against child labour and exploitation,
Against the capitalist and allies,
Against those who overcharge and mislead,
Against those who pay below minimum wage,
I am against all who violates rights to humanity,
The lion in me is roaring.
