The Last Love Letter

THE LAST LOVE LETTER I SAT DOWN AND WROTE YOU ONE LAST LOVE LETTER. MY HANDS SHOOK AS I WROTE THE FEELINGS I FELT ON PAPER AS BEST AS I COULD. WHEN I FINISHED I WENT TO THE PARK WHERE WE FIRST MET. I STARTED TO READ MY LAST LOVE LETTER OUT LOUD. MY VOICE BROKE, TEARS FILLED MY EYES BUT I VOWED TO GET THROUGH IT. WHEN I FINISHED I TOOK OUT A CANDLE AND LIT IT. I TOUCHED THE CORNER OF MY LAST LOVE LETTER TO THE FLAME. THE LETTER WAS AFLAME AND IT REFLECTED MY TEARS. A PILE OF ASHES SAT BEFORE ME ON THE GROUND. I SCOOPED THE PILE IN MY HANDS AND STOOD ON SHAKY LEGS. I LIFTED THE ASHES AND THREW THEM IN THE AIR. THE LOVE I ONCE HAD, OUR LOVE, WAS NOW FREE FLOATING ON THE AIRS CURRENT. WITH THE LAST ASHES GONE SO IS OUR LOVE, NEVER TO RETURN. GOODBYE MY LOVE, I WILL MOVE ON, BUT I WON’T FORGET. GOODBYE.
