THE BEAST

The Beast From the light of the darkest night, rose the beast that had been sleeping from dusk till dawn. Nobody but i could see the fire in her eyes , the fire that had once got ignited upon being betrayed. it appeared as if a thunder of betrayal had set fire to the grasslands of trust. deep inside the was a hurricane eroding the monuments that had once been the stepping stones of morals and values. as the monuments and the buildings crumbled down the sunlight finally reached my eyes, that had long been blocked by the pillars born out of lies. her realizations made the people question her, within no time she was thrown at the feet of the all mighty she uttered a word but not a sound came out. her lips read U-N-D-E-R-S-T-A-N-D poor child had been doing it the entire time and now was begging for it. A spectator shouted "this girl's got nothing to explain, she should be slaughtered to death." slaughtered for what? A crime that she never committed. I looked at the girl, then at the spectator the girl looked numb, but trust me i saw an entire thesis in her eyes and EYES NEVER LIE. Thrown into the jail what for? A crime she never committed. As the jail accountant i went to her cell, to revive her of the starvation she had been going through since the beginning of the ERA OF TORTURE where i saw the beast that had been sleeping from dusk till dawn. not too late i realized that all this time i had been seeing my reflection in her eyes. - kriti saini
