My Saviour My Horse

My Saviour, My Horse

My life was filled with terror and pain

With you by my side I could breathe again

My secrets and shame you carried inside

And your eyes showed sympathy when I cried

The feel of your breath on my face

Soothed the hurt of my disgrace

Running my fingers through your mane

Calmed my fears and helped me stay sane

The strength of your back carried me away

Allowing me to escape day after day

My mind was tortured and knew only sorrow

But your love showed me the promises of tomorrow
