My Daughter My Tribute

My Daughter, My Tribute

I watch over her

          when she sleeps

I watch over her

          when she weeps

I watch over her

          through life’s ups and downs

I watch over her

          as she leaps and bounds

I watch over her

          as she excels in school

I watch over her

even when she acts the fool

I watch over her

and marvel at how she grows

I watch over her

          and oh my pride overflows

I watch over her

and all I feel is love

I watch over her

my daughter, my life, my beautiful dove
