Love Yourself

When you come from a life Of trauma, heartache, and pain Will you continue to strife And live life in vain? Not knowing there is another way to live Thinking you’re doomed in a life of sin Wondering if you will ever be able to forgive Believing that no matter what you will never win You learn to adapt to a life full of negativity Always asking yourself one thing Was this really life’s plan for me? Because I don’t find it amusing You crave love and acceptance That’s not asking a lot You get hate and vengeance Not at all what you sought As you grow older You will begin to finally see Loving yourself is bolder And can help you to be free
