Innocence Lost

Innocence Lost

Moonless night, darkness cold

In this story told

Marauder in black, evil reaches out

Of his intentions there’s no doubt

And innocence sleeps below

Cruelty rules, suffering seeps

And quiet the child keeps

Love destroyed, trust forever torn

And desolation is born

And innocence lies broken

Disgusted feelings, sadness, pain

As down my face tears rain

Childhood stolen, future lost

As I pay the ultimate cost

And innocence is forgotten

Shameful days, sleepless nights

Feeling guilty is my plight

Hateful, hurting and anguish lies

As my soul slowly dies

And innocence is sacrificed
