Scars and grains
aboard a cavalcade
slick beard, dark skin, in my starless shades
your poker face
clenched fists, tight-lipped
cosmetic charade
see you clutch that pouch
pursed lips, crushed teeth
chary eyes scream "die!"
can't change your mind
won't change my ways
to appease some stranger on a train
I can't help but smile
running towards the morrow
reminiscent of our past
intolerance alive
consuming miles, no smiles
we're yet to arrive
see the white doves fly
watch the gloves come off
staunch spite, spent taunts, and a rage misplaced
it's time to arise
time to unsubscribe
from your snubs and gaze
won't change your mind
can't change my ways
to appease a stranger on some train.
