Before You Go

Tomorrow is today, my love, and my heart starts to break, My precious love flies far from me, my soul begins to ache. How rare are we, two of a kind, and hopelessly in love, Against all odds, a perfect match, as though from heaven above. How can I live, when all my thoughts direct my mind to you? Your eyes, your lips, your silhouette, no wonder my love grew! My heart is yours, from dusk ‘til dawn, and beats for you each night, How can I live, when all I want is you within my sight? Each day will pass, I’ll think of you, and yearn for your return, Our time apart reminds us both, how brightly our love burns! But missing you and wanting you, it will not change the real, That without you, my flame turns blue, my life will lose its zeal. Each moment true, we share as one, our hearts our only guide, Our love is real, our feelings true, now how can we abide? Our distance lies in space alone, our love is our connection, Each day you're gone, my soul will feel, alone without direction. So with each day, remember this, you stole my only heart, And that will never change my love, I’ve suffered Cupid’s dart! I love you with a love that I had never known I had, I love you to the depths of me, your goodness and your bad. And so I’ll wait, and watch the skies, for my dear love’s arrival, And on that day that she returns, my life will have revival! And one day soon, I’ll hold her hand, and kiss her lips again, Our souls alight, our love afire, forever, now as then.
