A Summer Place

Days when the wind blew so cold tearing at my bitter soul I wanna close my eyes and picture you and I in that song, a summer place I remember sitting on a blanket at a beach on a lonely stretch of sand I turned and saw you swaying to the sound of the waves I smiled at you you smiled at me I walked up to you and When I looked into your eyes my heart felt like an unborn baby’s first heartbeat saying hello I knew I’d met the girl I swore I’d never find Every time I hear that song I picture you and I on that beach Strange how a song sounds like a memory like a recording of a summers day on that beach Somewhere only we know. We walked the beach barefoot in the sand hand in hand all along whispering under my breath I've found the love for me Thinkin’ about all the beautiful words in my head i wanna say to you   We stopped at the water’s edge The ocean breeze brought a soft sensuous touch as we embraced and had our first dance in the sand listening to the song, a summer place   Locked in an orbital embrace Our bodies exposed a blue glow from the sparkling blue sea releasing energy with a passion and We Kissed and were lost in the moment   As the sky coaxed the mood from daylight to moonlight, A perfect sunset gave life to a perfect day I didn’t want this day to end I didn’t want this day to ever ever end Every time I hear that song I picture you and I on that beach Strange how a song sounds like a memory like a recording of a summers day on that beach Somewhere only we know.
