<p>Well momma, it’s been a while, since we had a talk, I thought that </p>
<p>Id drop on by, and try to ketch you up.</p>
<p>The family they all send their love. They said they’d stop by soon</p>
<p>I just thought, we could have a talk, the way we use to do.</p>
<p>Now daddy he don’t come around, to see us any more, I think he</p>
<p>found the bottle, to help him fight his wars.</p>
<p>And granny well she is ailing and it won’t be too long till she is up there</p>
<p>with you, so you won’t be alone.</p>
<p>But Momma we miss you and we wish you were here.</p>
<p>I know the Good Lord took you but we don’t think is fair</p>
<p>But were just down here a trying, as hard as we can</p>
<p>To keep this family goin the way that you planed</p>
<p>Now Momma please don’t worry, were all doing fine. Preacher</p>
<p>Jones from Sunday school drops by from time to time</p>
<p>And the welfare check keeps coming, their always on time, I guess</p>
<p>They haven’t heard the news that were just doing fine</p>
<p>Bobby Joe is working hard down at the mill every night right after</p>
<p>School, it helps to pay the bills.</p>
<p>On weekends we all get up just before the dawn, the girls all do</p>
<p>The house chores and us guys we work the farm.</p>
<p>Yesterday was Christmas and we all had a ball, running round the</p>
<p>Christmas tree as we watched the snowflakes fall.</p>
<p>Bobby Joe played Santa as he gave out the gifts, the young-ins all</p>
<p>Got candy and toys made out of sticks.</p>
