Hunt

Hunt

Hunt is a tense interplay between a lone hunter and his prey, amid the peaceful surrounds of a tranquil forest. But when he closes in to make his kill, the film makes you question your own morals regarding the value of life.

The film stars Byron J Brochmann from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Unbroken, and The Inbetweeners 2. The challenge in this film for the Australian actor was to convey the intense character without any lines of dialogue. The film was shot in London, Dublin and County Kerry (Ireland) and features an original musical score by Australian composer Rob Newnham.

Writer/director Matt Batten says, “the idea had been floating around my head and in my notes for a few months, but when the Minnesotan dentist – Walter James Palmer – hunted down Cecil the lion and the world was outraged, that was the catalyst for getting Hunt made.”

Hunt is a fully self-funded independent film from Mr Chicken Films (founded by Batten).
