Aortic Love

Today I searched my heart for you
To see if your are clinging to the walls
Right where I left you alone
Pumping me full of the life you exude
Building my happiness with every breath
Like a virus you cling to my host
Although you are more than what you are
If only you could spread through my veins
Into my brain, a little faster today
Because I want to feel your presence
Your subtle touch, locked in as one
You may only be an image, near memories
But you will always guide my steps
As the end will only lead to you.
