The Colours of my Thoughts

Don't rely on the paintbrush in my hand

Multitudes of rainbows of all sorts

Puzzling colours an artist wouldn't understand.

A touch of turquoise, an auburn smear

Seemingly complimentary at the thought if fear.

Soiled hazel with a splash of lime

Rather perplexing when thinking of time.

A shade of grey, a mauve smudge

Cogitating how quick we are to judge.

Long, painful streaks of red

Ruminating the wars, total bloodshed.

The lack of the urge to confess

And the drawback of loves' arbitrariness,

Seeps into a pool of fading black

Subtle, gentle yet sorrowful attack.

Good glowing times glowing green

Yellow days of the wonders i've seen.

Fireworks of pink explode in my mind

Grateful for the joy i've been able to find

Chalky white, i peacefully muse

But the simplicity of the way we abuse

Darkens to a rusty brown

A smile turned upside down.

A different colour, a different thought

A colourful battle intellectually fought.

My very own rainbow nation

'The Colours of my Thoughts' a continous creation!
