Remember Me
I wrote a poem today.
I tried to tell you. I tried to read it to you. I stared into your eyes and read it.
You stared back but you could not hear, You could not see.You were completely ignoring me.
I watched you sat there You lied,Saying it was great.
I asked you if you agreed with the woman's fate, You said yes. There was no woman in my poem.
I'm hurt that you don't pay attention to me I'm hurt when you just agree with me. Can't you talk to me? Can't you listen to me? Can you even see me? I'm your daughter.
I read you a poem today.

The poem is on Doctors who were heroes to us in the time of Covid-19
How we observe and how we reflect.
The observations and reflections of a traveller in a foreign land.
The facades of a perfect home.
This peom is about a woman in my life, who is suppose to be there for me but is not.
