Scent of death

Scent of death

Morning glory you've departed
Dear night you've lost your shine
Wind why blow without a whistle
Why is death a new scent of roses?

Before me lies broken pieces
Of dreams and hopes shattered
The heart is consumed by pain
Sorrow is my new blanket

Oh time why did you not alert
Horizon you held back the signs
I would have cherished her more
Loved and held her high

I am a man without will
A dead rose on a broken stem
My sorrows I've poured on your scarf
Until I lost the only scent left

Death a great offence you've done
My heart you split in half
My dreams you stole and broke
A stink is now left in my heart
