COLORBLIND Almost bright enough bloom Perhaps something special Vibrant hues kaleidoscope petals Ripe for the picking Almost in sight of the pigments Close enough to touch But there's no cones in these eyes  Mocha tinged porcelain skin Bronzed by the sun Wish we could live the moment again Time slows for no one. Embraced to bask in the moonlight Stomach fluttered away Light-years away.  Face to face as time flies away Muttering sweet words Syllables from the soul Falling on deaf ears So focused on next years
