My mother is the moon, And I am a sailor lost in a daunting sea of confusion. Who else could guide me but my mother? My mother is the moon, And I am the ocean whose waves crest higher than the stars Who else could influence me more than my mother? My mother is the moon, And I am an astronomer challenged by a world of uncertainty. Who else could teach me more than my mother? My mother is the the moon, And I am the dark night sky, fully blinded and obscured by the overcast. Who else could be the light in the dark other than my mother? My mother is the moon, And I am the moonflower, timid until endowed with the moon’s light. Who else could make me bloom with confidence other than my mother? My mother is the moon, And I am the night-owl, summoned by the nocturnal beacon of joy. Who else could the icon above represent other than my mother?
