Here you can find details of creative competitions related to art, poetry, music, photography, films, drawings, comedy, writing and animation that you can enter.
This contest has been designed to test the mettle of the 1st 10 pages, of any script, in any genre. We're looking for a tightly written, fluently paced opening that whets our appetite and leaves us longing for more… Sounds easy right? Can you prove your script has what it takes? Enter if you dare…

A scorecard will be issued for each regular entry, or you can opt for the Scorecard & Coverage option, which will provide you with detailed notes suggesting how to improve the first ten pages of your script.

In February 2015, filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit feature length and short films in Narrative and Documentary categories to the 24th Annual Heartland Film Festival. Student filmmakers are also encouraged to apply. High school filmmakers are encouraged to submit their entries to the 5th iteration of the Heartland High School Film Competition. Film submissions are judged on their overall artistic and technical quality, in addition to how they might promote positive change in people’s lives through the transformative power of film.
In addition, the Heartland Film Festival is a qualifying festival for the Annual Academy Awards® within the Short Films Category. This means that the winner of the Grand Prize for Best Narrative Short Film will qualify for consideration in the Short Films category of the Annual Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.
